Chaucer believed in things he ought to know. His quote, "Time and tide wait for no man." Meaning time goes on and it is impossible to stop the ongoing process.

Chaucer expressed his knowledge through this book and making it an icon for the youth and the adults. As of today, The Canterbury Tales is still a significant to the world.
